I got a set of 6x8 alpines and right now i have have them hooked to a dual headunit.it pushed 18 x 4 rms watts and the speakers have 75 rms each so doesent that mean that there only getting 18 watts rms to each speaker?and i was thinking anout getting a small amp to run them and two 12s so i need a four channel amp.but on a four channel can u control the watts going to the speakers like if i had my two speakers hooked up two two channels and the two subs hooked up to the other ones can i change the amount going to the small speakers?thanks

yes but any changes affect all the speakers connected... ie if you wire in one way you get 100 watts per channel to all channels, or 50 to all channels etc... you really can't selectively do that unless the amp specifically has that feature but none do as far as i know.

What would be a good amp to run two 6x8 alpine type speakers? And if i got a four channel amp and got one that put out lets say 75 rms wouldnt the two subs be underpowered?
