so heres the rundown i got a 89 Chev cavalier Z24 that my gf drives and shes all bitchy because sometimes she starts it and it idles for like 2 seconds and die she starts it again same thing dose it again and it starts so she wants me to fix it any idea's its 2.8L v6 she says she hears a bubbling noise but i cant hear it so any help would be cool thanx:nopityA:

i;d say maybe its some kinda vaccum hose.my girlfriend has a new one and she paid just to hook up a little hose. the title cracked me up too

sounds like lack of fuel. Fuel filter?
The best thing you could do is send it to the crusher and get her a Mustang.

i wanna do a 3.8 swap out of a grand prix or somthing 3.8 supercharged lol but its all costs money

lol see i never bitched about the engine cuz ive passed mustangs with it and i never had troubles now that she's driving it she always bad mouths it and now its coming back to get her bad karma man

Agreed with others who mentioned FPR....had a older bonnie with 3.8...did much the same thing. Start and die a few times in the morning (cold start), was pretty good after it was warm.

change the Fuel filter before changing the FPR....watch the steel lines they maybe siezed to filter...healthy dose of pentitrating oil/spray is helpfull....beleive its metric on the filter...kinda doubt if they have the plastic clips on the fuel lines.
