kenwood kac 746

i have a lead on a used kenwood kac 746 amp for $75
i have a sub in the back of my truck that just doesnt have enough kick. would this be a good choice to run my sub and my speakers or just the sub or should i look at a different amp entirely. i'm getting new speakers for christmas so they will handle the added power.
so should i buy this thing and hook it up or look for something else?

i was just looking at this. would the 4 channel still increase power to my sub or no. it looks like i need a seperate amp for it. i'm just wondering if it increases it at all. and if not what about the hi-pass set up. i would hook it up to the back two speaks and the sub. would that give me a good set up?

You are going to have to provide some specs of the old amp and of your sub. That amp is only rated at 200 watts bridged, max power, 100 watts rms. To me that's not a lot. I would look for something else.

i currently do not have any amp. and the sub i have now is a 8" audiovox tube with a 200w pre amp. i know its not the best if i want a good thump but i got it for free. it was my dads. he had it hooked up through his old amp in his bronco, but i believe he said it was only to get the signal to the sub and not to amplify it. i remember how much power that thing used to have. now even if i have my hand directly on the tube even with my most getto song playing loud i feel it vibrate but thats about it. not much kick. i have my input wires coming from my back two speakers though, where my dad had his through the amp. my dad isnt entirely sure if thats causing the problem or not. the sub worked great when we took it out of the bronco so i'm pretty sure it still works.

i'm just not sure entirely what i should do

The 100 watt rms from tge kenwood will provide plunty of power for that audiovox sub.
