Got this truck as payment for a favor for someone, so basically free
I have a Jeep JK but this is my first Ranger, and my first truck. I've been getting into metalworking, have a tig and plasma cutter so far.
Going for a prerunner style. I have the jeep for low-speed stuff, I want something for fast stuff
As you can see, the body is rough (spent the last 3+ years sitting out in the sun), but engine runs well (doesn't burn oil), and no accidents or anything so the frame is good.
Interesting tidbit: the VIN engine code is "A", which means 2.3L, however it's clearly the 3.0L. I didn't buy it from the original owner, but I highly doubt there's been an engine swap.
Details:
1993 2wd 3.0L 5spd
130k km
"sport" model?
Plans/Dreams/Ideas:
63" chevy leaf & flip.
Make longer radius arms & frame mounts
Modify/make new beams.
Fiberglass front fenders
Feedback/suggestions welcome! Going to try to do things as cost-effective as possible, and likely pretty slowly. I want to make everything possible myself.
