I bought this ranger a couple of months ago and since then me and my step dad have put a lot of work into it. Here is how she started

We started with the interior, we tore out the old red interior

Then we put a blue interior in it from our parts truck

We redid the headliner to a blue color to match the rest of the interior

Once we finished the interior we moved on the the outside, obviously it needed some work =P
To start we did all the body work, changed the doors, drivers side fender, and the bed from our parts truck to fix all the cosmetic stuff wrong with it, then we began taking it apart for paint

I picked up the rims from my dad, they are from an 06 mustang gt he got new ones and gave them to me for free :headbang:

Here is when we threw on the new bed because the previous owner cut a whole in it and pulled the gas filler through it... dumbass!!:icon_confused:

Here is after we painted the bed and she was almost finished :yahoo:

Here is her when she is all said and mostly done :yahoo:

I got the visor off of craiglist for 40 bucks :icon_thumby:

Since then we have put a stereo in her, new rear bumper and a tonneau cover i will post pictures as soon as i can. we also tinted the taillights, turn signals and marker lights :D I had to pay my step dad a lot of beer for the time he put into this with me

Good work, but if you would had trashed those jump seats, then sprayed the inside of the panels with bed liner, you could have stuck your 15's in each hole with a custom made panels, then you would have a bunch of room still be hide your seat to play with.

That's what I'm going to do to my 88 Supercab Ranger when the time comes to do the insides.

Those are nice rims, did you have to use a spacer???

Ya thats a good idea for down the road but mine are only 12's not 15's. i will definitely consider that though the extra space behind the seat would be awesome!

oh and yes i had to use 1'' spacers in the front, but im thinking i need a set for the back too now because the back wheels look really sucked into the truck compared to the fronts

Wow, What a transformation.

And I am jelous of your seats. That's what I want in mine...Right now I just have a very plain original bench seat. Not a 60/40

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
you really put a blue interior in that....

turned out pretty damn good though...

you trashed a perfect bed cause it had a hole in the floor of it??

makes me wonder how easy it is to get nice 1st gens out there???

Thanks guys! and i like the 60/40 but i think i want to put buckets and a center console in down the road =]
I also didnt trash the bed we just switched it to the parts truck instead of repairing it to save time and money since the parts truck bed was in good condition. And its not too hard to get a nice 1st gen you just have to put in the time and money to get what you want out of it

I already have the center console out of one but the seats were crap so im gona try and cut out the center of my 60/40 ..

the console bolts it with two plates one in the back with 4 bolts and one in the front with two .. it looks like ya have to drill some holes for the bolts to make it work.

ya you have to drill them i did it in my 4x4 already with the explorer seats but all of the points where you have to drill should already be punched into the floor board or at least it was in mine =P
