I wouldnt recommend MRE-Books

This company has nothing close to customer support, I've emailed twice and called twice, with no aswer back. Just purchased a book on V-8 conversions and they sent confirmation and expected delivery date, that was 10 days ago. I guess I'm out that money, the book looked like it would be informative if you could get it. Anyway, be cautious when dealing with them.

Get your money back, there are enough guys on here that just about any problem you could run into... somebody else has been there too.

In my experiance most books are written in some fairlyland place where everything is clean and just falls together. I always find some exception where the 2 paragraphs in the book about the subject I am dealing with mentions barely anything I need to know.

Parts to use and techniques are always changing too, there are so many options out there for different things there is no way I would expect to see everything in a book anyway.
 
Harwood Performace has some good manual for what year truck you have. Can download real easy. Think they were $25.

yep thats the book, i guess paypal is working on it, so i bought the harwood performance, good info. still would like to have the other one also
 
Sorry to hear you had such a hard time with the guys at MRE. That book was my bible when I did my swap (not a lot of swaps had been done back then). It had a lot of information on what parts would work and what wouldn't. Of course I went out on my own when I put the C-6 in a 4x4 (the book didnt reccomend it), but it was helpful when I was trying to figure out balancer/flexplate weights, and front end parts.
