I having problem with my brakes, and the only thing I did not change is that valve, so was just wondering if I really need it? Can I by-pass that valve?:icon_confused:

It's not so much a "valve" as a pressure differential switch to warn of a single circuit failure

The later rangers don't have it but use a magnetic float and a reed switch to warn of a low fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir.

Frankly I think the idea of either switch is kinda dumbass, because if you have a partial circuit failure you'd need to be brain dead to fail to notice when the pedal went to the floor.

I was wondering wht kindda problems u are havin I have an 85 ranger n I think its tht valve also

Its like there's no brake in the back, it don't lock at all, just the front, and its all bran new rear brake. I had drum brake in the back before, so I though it was my drum brake system that didn't work right, so I change it to disc brake, but its the same problem.
