I having problem with my brakes, and the only thing I did not change is that valve, so was just wondering if I really need it? Can I by-pass that valve?
It's not so much a "valve" as a pressure differential switch to warn of a single circuit failure
The later rangers don't have it but use a magnetic float and a reed switch to warn of a low fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir.
Frankly I think the idea of either switch is kinda dumbass, because if you have a partial circuit failure you'd need to be brain dead to fail to notice when the pedal went to the floor.
Its like there's no brake in the back, it don't lock at all, just the front, and its all bran new rear brake. I had drum brake in the back before, so I though it was my drum brake system that didn't work right, so I change it to disc brake, but its the same problem.
