It would probably be better to keep them uncovered so you didn't get your lip all cut up when the tooth (if not more) gets knocked out.Use that jack long enough and their appreciation will show in your smile.

Yeah, I have 2 of them. I'm not a hater. I have a 48 and a 60. They are a dangerous but neccesary device. i wasn't joking about keeping your lips over your teeth. Use it enough and you will get a kick-back. Also, the truck goes up in an arc and pulls itself away from the jack. You have to be on your toes. I've used mine for everyything from a winch to alift on my dump trailer. I know what I'm talking about, not just making fun. A High-Lift is useful, but it's also dangerous.
