I have found alot out about swaping a 4 banger to a 302 but i have a 4.0L auto ext cab and i have a early 70's 302 4brl with c4 trans the ranger was wrecked in the front so im replacing the front clip while i have it off im going to put a 302 in it. will the cross member for the trans have to be moved or can i use it for a starting piont on placing the motor front to back? I'm going to use the manifolds from the motor and the motor mounts from a convertible 5.0 fuel pump off a van and a oil pan off a 81 mustang oh yea its a two wheel drive ranger. Any help will be great project for me and my son hoping he will think before he does anything stupid in it knowing how much work goes into it.
