So that would mate up no problem? Some where I heard that the newer f150 trans wont mate to the old carb. setup..

iirc...the 96 to 04 or 07 or so

I found a s5-42 ZF trans which was out of a 88 f250. It was just sitting under some shelter at a junk yard. it works great. I believe all 302's use the same bolt pattern so a M5OD,ZF, or a T5 for 2wd will work.
