It's the first one I've ever experienced. I guess they can happen just about anywhere. The best part is I barely got excited...people asked "what's that" and I looked up from my work and replied "must be and earthquake" and went back to my business. Kinda curious to hear from those in Virgina where it was centered.

being from california, earthquakes are nothing special to me, but i know that the earthquakes this year is not normal, im just glad im not in a big city incase the "big one" goes off. someone told me something about comet elenin affecting earths gravity causing quakes and tsunamis and they say the worst is late september to november...

im from virginia, i was sitting in class and some girl started freaking out, i didnt even feel it, maybe i just dont pay enough attention in class. lol

What earthquake? Everyone keeps talking about this earthquake. I'm still not convinced.

I'm in NC and I felt it. My grandmother asked me if I felt the house moving and I thought she was crazy but then it came again and I felt it. It's not a feeling that I would want to feel again anytime soon.

That was a small earthquake. Wait for the next one coming next week...this one will be a real earthquake!!!! I was in a few in California back in the 80's. One even happened when I was on my ship docked in port. I was working in our combat center sitting down when we felt this huge bang. I was lifted up out of the chair and seem to hover for a few moments!! The deck below us lifted up and warped in front of us as if in a Matrix move. It was in slow motion!! The ship was lifted off the water and then slammed back on the water. It was incredible!!!!

We had a small tremor here in Florida a few years ago that made our doors and windows rattle and the couch shook as well. That was weird.

I didn't feel it, my store is built far to solid.

Everyone around town was buzzing about it, apparently a diner in the area shook so bad some glasses fell, and people in the parking lot were freaking out about their cars shaking.

My GPS was on the floor when I went outside, I don't know if it was from the quake or the sun but hey.. you never know.

Really no surprise for me. It was a very well known fault line in DC. the "Bush's Fault" line LOL.

I was sitting at my desk at work and figured the girl next to me was shaking my wall again. Then I felt the carpeted concrete floor move and the giant cranes clang in our shop.

I customer I was talking to in NJ said to me "dude?!..Did you feel that??"

3 earthquakes in a little over a year that I haven't felt. Guess I was too zoned in at work.

I was standing in the cafeteria at school and the ground just started shaking and we all looked at each other like "what the hell was that?" Then they evacuated the buildings to make sure they were safe.

I feel bad for the people in the bathrooms at that time.

Actually............a restroom would be the best place to be in an earthquake....think about it.
