I just replaced my ac in my truck and it wouldnt kick on unless i jumped the black/yellow wire to the green/purple wire on the wot relay connector. I need to know what the four wires in the connector go to please!!! Also I have a 1990 ranger 2.9 computer on my 1986, so if I put a 1990 ranger without ac on it would that mess with it at all? Thanks for any help!!!

Steve it sounds like you just need to do some research. Get you a truck manual with wiring schematics in the back. There are a few here in the tech library. You question does not have enough details.. Replaced the a/c?? Which part? The compressor? There are pressure switches along with a wide open throttle relay that also control the compressor along with the switch in the cab. If its low on freon then the pressure switch keeps it from coming on. Just check your basics first like the fuses and the condition of the wiring. You can also take a multimeter and check the switch on the accumulator to make sure it is closing. You dont give enough info for any of us to really help with a specific diagnosis.

Sorry I was kinda moving quickly when I wrote this. I replaced all the ac compenents, everything new. My manuals didnt give any insight on the four wires at the wot relay connector, as to what they were and went to.
