For all of you with Nikon DSLRs (or 35mm SLRs), I thought you would find this link helpful in describing Nikkor lens acronyms, as well as what older lenses will work on the newer camera bodies:

I don't suppose you know where to find a link like that applicable to Canon cameras.... just sort of in the other direction... I'd like to find other lens options that will work with my collection of AE-1 cameras... lol
 
Bob may want to weigh in on this too, but I think with the Canon FD lens mount you'll be limited to Canon FD lenses (and possibly FL lenses in stopdown mode?) and perhaps M42 screwmount lenses with an adapter.

Sorry, I can't help you out, I don't know anything about Canon equipment. I'm only familiar with Nikon.
