Hello, I have a Mazda B2600 Manual 5-speed 4x4 (Not sure on year. Maybe a '98? Will find out tomorrow if necessary), and a 1984 Ford Ranger XLT 4-speed 4x4. I was curious about swapping the transmission, clutch, etc... Is it possible? If so how would I go about doing it?

You will need the clutch master, reservior and the hydraulic line that goes to the slave. Basically the entire system, but should be bolt in...

Not possible. The B2500 (4 cylinder) has a different bellhousing pattern than V6s and the bellhousing is not removable from the transmission.

If it really is a 2600, then it's not even related to the ranger family, and is no newer than a '92.

if it's a B4000 then the tranny will bolt to the 2.8... but you would want to use the stock transfer case so the speedo would work.

a mazda b2600 is a mazda product is in no way related to the rangers

Yeah, the B2600 was a Courier relative, in all it's iterations. It was never a Ranger.

What all the above had said. I had taken for granted that both your truck and the donor were both 4 cyl's since you never stated what your truck was. I completely missed your info under your avatar....Now, if it truely is a late 90's mazda, then you will have the B2500, not the 2600. In 98 they had the 2500, 3000, and 4000. The 3000 trans bellhousing is a different pattern and will not bolt to the 2.8L, 2.9L, or 4.0L, which of these 3 all share the same pattern...

Well, the Mazda says B2600 on the side of it.

Mazda to Ranger Trans Swap?

Says 08/88 on the specs. Sorry for the confusion.

its an older one, and won't work, entirely different setup...

What would be swappable in it then? (Already got the seatbelts from it in my Ranger)

Not much, it would be like trying to swap chevy parts into a ford....

Eh, Alright. Maybe I'll just turn the bed into a trailer. Hahaha. Thanks anyways, guys.
