I have a 91 ranger and when I got it both of the aluminum pieces on the rear slider were missing. I went to a junk yard and got the parts, then bought a new latch. My problem and question is what type of adhesive/how to go about getting them to stay on? Thanks in advance.

sweet 24hrs and no replies, since searching didn't bring up any thing I guess no body has ever fixed this issue....."walks off into the unknown of rear window repair"

3M weatherstrip adhesive should do the trick, something sticky...

i used silicone on a 93 once. the black gasket silicone. just be careful to clean it up and u wont even notice it later.

Clear RTV. i have done this over 10 times using plexi-glass.... until i finally made a spare key for my wallet.

Good idea.
i keep one in my wallet and another one hidden under the truck with some magnets.

That reminds me that I need to key a key made for mine.

What about using the clear silicone to glue the key to the truck somewhere?

not unless you want to spend like 15minutes scraping the silicone out of the grooves of the key. that stuff dries pretty solid and is a pain to remove sometimes

It would make you forget about the slider for a minute.
