Engine tranny removal as one

Will the engine and tranny come out together on a 93 XLT with 3.0 L and A4LD, or do they have to be separated?

My Haynes seems to not say it can be done, but says to separate them. It would be easier to do both at once if there is clearance as long as both are comming out anyway.

yes you have to split them, unless you want to take out your front end and cross members and put it on a car stand and drop the motor out from the bottom and that is ALOT OF BULL SHIT WORK, undo the tranny and lift the motor out the right way.
