Hey I just put a 63" cb antenna whip on my truck and need a tie down for it but even with a 5" spring on it i cant get it to bend far enough to attach it to a regular tie down. Any ideas?

I use a bungee cord to hold my dual firesticks down when i gotta park in the barn...

Will that work for a whip though?

Do you have gutter over your doors? not sure about you year of truck. If so these things will work.

If not then use one of those black rubber bungee cords. You take the s hook out of one end and thats where you poke the antenna through, cut it to whatever length and fasten it to your bed rail or inside of the bed. You dont want the antenna having metal to metal contact with the truck so a rubber bungee works great for insulating the two from each other.
Here's another.

These can be had at a military surpluse too.

I made one like it for a friend and just tore the belt clip off an old cell phone soft case and bent it up, i used a split ring to tie the para-cord to though so it wouldnt get cut.
