F-250 Brake lines

The front ones have the same fittings, any reason why I couldn't use some as extended brake lines?

Also can I just mod the bracket on the rear to make the line longer?
 
For the rear, all I did was get a 8" hardline with male ends, and a coupler that was female at both ends. And stuck it between the line and the soft hose.
Cost me $4
 
Something like that should work for the rears. All I'm wondering about is the fronts.
