I love the older bikes. I'm redoing my second 1975 xr 75. :icon_welder:

My son learned to ride on the first one I did. That was 12 years ago. I put some new parts on my Vulcan last saturday.

The gray XR75 was my dream bike growing up.
My parents bought me a RM80 and I thought I hit the lotto....lol!
Still love those old XR's,You couldnt kill them.

my first bike was an XR100. i put that thing through hell and and back and it never gave me a fit. And then it got stolen....

Rings are easy on the 2 smokers. I just did a set on my 250R 3 wheeler. Had it done in about an hour and a half. Check you reeds for breaks and chips while you re there and look at the throttle cable to make sure it is not fraying.

Going to pull the jug off this afternoon and see if its been punched out or not,then order some parts.

What year R 3 wheeler do you have?
Im looking for a 85.

I have an 86 ATC 250R

Unless you are dead set on an R I have a buddy in Memphis with an 87 Tecate 3 for $2100. Rebuilt from the ground up and flawless. I can get pics if you want.

Hell for that matter....I'm going to St. Joes State park in Missouri next weekend (Aug 20 and 21) riding. Get the bike fixed and meet me there.

A friend had a Tecate,It was fast!
Maybe we can hook up for a ride this fall.
Got the CR torn down,rings were shot and its punched 1MM over.

My friend that collects a lot of older Hondas,just finished a 1975 CR 250,called me yesterday at lunch told to swing by his house he had something to show me.
I now own a 2001 Suzuki DRZ 400!Ill post a pic this afternoon.
