I bought 2 brand new ones last month on Ebay for $25 with shipping. Why should I want to build one when I can buy the darn thing? I would rather spend the time fabbing up a light bar or another neat looking Overland trailer for my Jeeps.

Yeah, I built one to pull the axles out of my Bobcat.

Try this, I'm not having any luck getting the buttons to wrok on TRS:

I've done crazy shit to pull axles in an emergency. On my honeymoon, we were stranded in Glacier National Park with a U-Haul behind my '64 Ford, which had ball-bearings and not cone and rollers in the rear axle. We trashed a bearing, of course, and I had no puller. I had a chain-type bike lock which I fastened under a lugnut and looped the other end through the spare tire and used that--throwing the tire--to knock the axle out.

On the one I made for the Bobcat--don't let go of the weights when you throw them out. Just hold them firmly and slam it and it will knock it free in one smack.

I own TWO OTC "Silver Slapper" slide hammers.

One is clean and neat and with ALL of it's attachments in a drawer of my big roll cabinet.

The other basically lives in my truck and has the spindle puller attachment on it.

I bought the "clean one" brand new paid damn near full price for it.

The nasty one I literally picked out of a scrap metal pile.
