Can i do this with just the fenders and grille? What would i need to do this?

it's fenders hood grill and bumpers but the core support is different it has to be changed and thats some work if you have a pic and pull or juck yard that would be the way to go

Read and searched but only thing I found out were that the core support between 88 and 89-92 were "different", I have an 88 I want to swap the front to an 89-92, what is different on the core support? Will the 89-92 hood latch to an 88 core support? Can the newer headlights and grill be fabbed (gently massaged) to fit??

There is mine. It's an 88 with a 91-92 frontend on it. I changed the whole doghouse out simply by drilling the spot welds out. It took a while but was worth it. I also have the 91 4.0 in it too.

Not too tough of a job, I had fiberglass fenders, prob made it easier. A little trimming of the edge of the core support, cutting and removal of majority of original headlight bucket. I need to button up a few things with self tapping screws, I am lacking a hood for now and will tighten things up when I do. I made sure to grab EVERY bolt, bracket, clip and screw plus a few extras.
