what the diffrence in weight after dropping in a 302???, carburated if it makes much of a differneces

302 should be about 460lbs. what motor do you have in it now?

i have the stock 2.9, im just wondering how much the front will sag once i swamp motors

2 1/4 inch washers should put it right if it sags.
difference is usually 70-140 pounds

If it's a 2WD swap in 4x4 coils. That levelled out mine perfectly.

mine is 4x4 and im putting in full size axles and doing some custom suspention, i just want it to sit level when it all done cause im only putting in the 302 next year

There's very little difference if any. I replaced the front springs in mine with 94 Explorer 4.0 with A/C, really just to maximize the handling and replace the 10 year old V6 springs. Mine's an 89 supercab was a 2.9 with 5 speed.
