so when i pulled the motor from the junkyard i took the heads off, got home and got them cleaned up and forgot which side they originally came off of. will it matter that much or is that a way to tell which way they were put on? feel kinda dumb asking lol
 
You might be able to tell by how the accessories mounted on the front in the paint... if you didn't strip or paint them.

It shouldn't really matter which side you put them on though.
 
Yes, the heads can go on either side. But one end may have a threaded insert on certain accessory holes.
