well i noticed today that my rear axle is cast to be able to accept RABS but not machined, there is no hole there. i thought i read somewhere that only the old 8.8 were like this but my axle looks like its a 7.5 i have never seen another 7.5 that was cast but not machined for RABS, and i have not taken the cover off yet so i dont know if there is the internal stuff there or not. do i have a goofy axle?

8.8s did not come in '87 Rangers. They were all 7.5s. I don't remember what year they started putting RABS in as an option but, '83/'84 did not have it. None of my Rangers come from the factory with it. Although most of them have the big cast rib that protects the sensor.
