I am about to put my THIRD clutch slave cylinder in my 95 F150 in a little over 2 1/2 years.
95 F150, Big 6, Mazda 5 speed, 4x4, Ext cab.
I love this truck but what the hell is with the slave cylinders?
Am I the only one with this issue?
The first two were AutoZone parts.
Is there a better brand than that to go with?

Not only is spending a day R&Ring the trans a big pain but my truck this time my truck is 75 miles away in the mountain.

Any advice on this?

The first time it went there was an arctic cold wave, the second time was another extreme cold event.
This time it was not very cold at all overnight.
Really love this truck but getting very tired of this issue.

Thanks for any advice or info on this.

Buy oem. Its a bit pricier but it will last you a lot longer. Man i miss my 300...

Autozone, parts source, etc are just selling you junk. That's why it's cheaper. I did the same thing as you with my last Ranger: '92 STX. I only got about 6 months out of each one though. Bought an OEM and it lasted till the truck rotted away like 2 years later. That same tranny/slave is in another truck now. That's about 4-5 years now.

I Just finished installing the OEM Ford slave. it was 3x the cost but of course will be well worth it if I don't have to R&R the trans every 8 month's!

Thanks all
Bill
