I just bought an '86 Ranger and it has the canister type fuel filter. I just took it off my truck to replace the fuel filter and I looked into the top half and noticed there are springs jammed in the holes. Not sure if that's the return line or not but it kinda looks broken like a piece of plastic broke off. Can anyone tell me if that is supposed to be like that? Should I just reattach the fuel lines and be on my way?
