I have come across a 306 block that is bored .30 over. What would the displacement of the engine now. wht is the difference between the 302 block and the 306? What is the potential displacement i could make the 306 block with the .30 over bore? Would this be worth the effort, time, and money to build for a street/strip truck?

oohh ok im new to this stuff im only 18 but i learn more every day. So i would just get parts for a 302 just bigger in a sence? What would be the best combonation of parts to build this motor? I would like to build it for nitrous. I kno i will need forged internals.

Well i would like around 400 hp. Is that even possible? And somewhere around a 100 shot or little more of nitrous

My advice to you is to leave the NOS alone for now. GEt some hands on experience with these motors before even thinking about it. You can build it to that HP level without it or the forged internals. ALl you need is a good set of heads and the right compression plus the cam. The heads are the key though. 400HP at the flywheel has been done with the stock HO roller cam combined with good heads.
