Anyone using them? I'm running the stock rims and tires from my 88 ranger on my 87 bronco II and they rub inside. So, I was gonna get a set of spacers to solve this. I don't know what size I need or how "thick" they should be. Any feedback on spacers would help....

old topics. your going to get mixed answers as to if people trust them or not driving on the street. search a little and you will get an idea.

I've been using 1.5" spacers for about 3 years of HARD wheeling and have had no problems.

Be sure to use Loctite and check them often. I ran them for a while and had no issues.

eh, i had some on a truck. i went 90 with them and im still here... but i really dont like them

What is the purpos
e of wheel spacers anyway? Just curious.

as the name implies it moves the wheel farther away from the mounting point. its better to just get the right rims with the backspacing you want

I only bought some just because i had wheel with a 5x5.5 bolt pattern so the only bolt pattern adapters i could get were 1.25" thick, and i actually like them more than i figured. never had any trouble so far but she gets used and abused and will soon be daily driven

So they move the wheels farther out then? How does that effect the ride? I is that ok for the vehicle?

supposedly its a bit harder on your wheel bearings, due to more leverage on them, but hell, changing your wheel bearings any sooner cant hurt can it? would suck for one to give out

Does anyone have any pictures of this?

I've had them on the rear of my B2 for years. The reason is, I have a Ranger axle in it and the Ranger axle is narrower, which caused the tires to rub on the inside of the B2 body. Like was said, torque them to 100# and use red Locktite.
