I'm sitting in the truck and have hit a dead end. It's actually a '99 B3000,3.0, automatic 2 wd.
The speedometer doesn't work and I've run out of things to try. So far I've checked all fuses and relays, replaced the VSS (which cured the ABS light being on). Am I missing some thing here? I've tried using a Solus scanner but it will not even show the VSS. (kind of disappointed in that high dollar Snap on scan tool, I'd never buy another Snap on scan tool that's for sure)
Anyway, I have searched through a lot of sites looking for answers, but most, if not all stop at the VSS as being the cause. Since the VSS has been changed and the speedometer is still not working, I must think there is another part that's being over looked.
Oh yeah, I also replaced the speedometer head with a KTBG unit, and that unit didn't work either.
So, any electrical guru's in the house today?
