Hey guys I traded my 94 in for a 2011 xlt and have my entire system installed except the power wire. In my 94 there was a convenient plate I drilled a hole through to run the wire... I cannot find any such spot on the 2011.

Can anyone help me out with this?

If the above is not informative enough

I need to run my amp power cable from my battery through the firewall to my amp and can't find a good way to do it.

Pics and description to help me out would be much appreciated. Thanks :D

I don't remember the actual size of the wire but its about the size of a normal sharpie marker body.

If it's an auto, there might be a big rubber grommet you can run thru where a clutch pedal would go.... thats where I've ran it on most of my vehicles :dunno:

i use something most professionals CRINGE at, but i love doing it... the steering boot!

just if you do use that FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! make sure it's secure and not going to get caught on the steering shaft, if there's ANYTHING worse than wiring getting caught on the steering shaft (which is a safety hazard if you can't turn) it's large gauge power wire getting torn open and shorting out while causing the above problem

easy way to secure it, lots of zap straps!!!!! i used 2-3 on each side of it, it's never going to move (don't remember if i ran my power through there, but i have a bunch of wires for other things like my driving lights and temp sensor wires)

i deff would not run it though the steering. I just ran mine under the truck just next to the frame and up into where the little fold down seats are just make sure to put some plastic lume around it

I ended up running it through the rubber boot behind the fuse box. Thanks all :) Now time to buy some MDF for a new box :headbang:
