Does anyone know if Explorer factory side steps will fit an extended cab Ranger?

As in, the factory molded running boards? If so... well they would fit, but they would basically extend from the front fender to the rear fender. They might look kinda funny, not sure. Or am I thinking of the wrong steps?

Not running boards, but the oval like side steps that came on the XLT Sport Explorers with the grey fender flares etc.

I would like something to help the kids get in and out...
