I found some nice looking alcoa wheels for sale of a ranger. I asked if they were 15x8s and the guy said they measure 8 inches outside lip to inside lip so would that actually be a 7 inch wheel or eight? Were they all 7 inches wide?
Thanks guys

You're talking about the Alcoa wheels on the FX4 Level II, right? The ones I had were 15x7. I would assume they were all 7" wide but I'm not sure.

I believe there are different size alcoas depending on the model year of the ranger. I also have 15x7 Alcoas on my ranger.

Rangers have never had wheels wider than 7".

All the FX4 Alcoas are 15x7.

I find the 15x7 hard to believe. I've been searching for the 15x7 Alcoa, and all I get are the 15x8.

From bottom of lip to the other side bottom of lip, it should measure 8.5 or 8.25 for it to be a 15x8. 15x7 is 7.25 to 7.5.

They are a 15X7 wheel

they are 15x7 and measure 7.5" wide from outer lip to lip.

i believe the jeep alcoas are 15x8

I guaranty that the Ranger Alcoa rims are 15x7.

So if this guy thinks the rims measure 8 outer lip to inner lip would that make them x8 wheels? Off a jeep maybe?

So if its an eight inch rim is that the distance from the bead surface to bead surface?

awesome thanks man! Would an 11.5 inch tire be to much for a 7 inch rim?

Some may tell you it is, but lots of people have run 11.50s on 7s (myself included).
The only issue you might see a bit more of is the rear tires wanting to wear more in the center, which just makes it more important to rotate your tires at the proper interval (I DON'T suggest trying to compensate by lowering the air pressure though, it will not extend the life of the tire, but will lower your MPG).
