90 Ranger 4WD Fuel pump question

I'm going to replace my fuel pump. I noticed on ebay that I can buy just the pump, the pump with some hoses gaskets and other doodads or the complete pump assembly including the seal pipes etc. This can cost anywhere from 50 to 150 dollars. There are also several brands of pumps available. What is the consensus opinion on fuel pump rebuilds or replacements?
