I am completing the 4.0L swap and need to put on new tires. The ones I have are about 20 years old. They are Goodyear wrangler with the rasied white letters. It has been sitting in the garage so the treads are ok but they are old and need to be replaced. I plan to use the stock since but need some suggestion as to the brand and style. I want it to have the appearance as an off-roader. what tires do you suggest?

I am partial to BF Goodrich tires. A lot of guys here bash them though.

I have some All Terrain AT's that I really like for everything but mud. MT KOs are really nice too, but a bit spendy.

I suggest doing some reading in the tire section, lots of tire reviews in there.

I just picked up a set of Goodyear Wrangler ATs for less than $400.00 for all 5. Do a search on CL and at the online tire dealers.

Thanks. The AT wangler is the way to go. Need to get the Beloved running first

I have BF Goodrich on my B2 and love them. They are great tires.

I have run the BFG AT and Mud and now run the Goodyear MTR Kevlar. MTR's are hands down better than either of the BFG's!

This may not make any difference from any manufacturer of tires but my B2 sits in the garage all winter so it does not get many miles on it. Is there any tire manufacturer that have better shelf life? My wifes LS had continental tires and they rotted out in about 4 years. I do put the B2 up on jack stands in the winter so that does help. Any ideas on this?
