i am trying to pick up a set of explorer leaf springs for my 93 ranger, called the junk yard to get some decent used ones and they asked wich spring code i need, either W, F, H, or L. not sure what i need, i want the 4 leaf. i just want to make sure theyll fit length wise

the lengths should all be the same. the different codes translate to different spring rates to account for different weights/lengths of explorers (dont ask me which ones are stiffer and which are softer).

The codes, from the research I have found, are the following:

2 (01-05 Sport Trac Towing Package)
C (Ranger FX4 Level II)
F (95-00 Explorer 4dr 4-leaf)
H (95-00 Explorer Eddie Bauer/Limited AWD Air Ride 4-leaf)
L (95-00 Explorer 2dr 3" wide monoleaf)
U (90-94 Explorer 4dr 4x4 4-leaf)
V (90-94 Explorer 2dr 4x4 3-leaf)
W (Explorer 3-leaf)

I personally would stick with the F-code springs. It is a 4 spring pack that is outfitted on most (95-00 4dr) explorers, therefore, are more easily found than any of the others. I swapped a set into a 95 explorer 2dr and they ride nice...You'll probably gain around 1.5" or soo, but thats just an estimate. But to answer your question, they all are the same length and will bolt into a ranger no problem.

All you have to do to make them fit is flip the center pin over
