2wd c6 to 4wd c6

im not sure if this has been talked about before but i need to know if a 2wd tranny could be made into a 4wd, its a c6 out of an 83 f250 with a 460 and dana 60

Yes you can do it but plan on a rebuild. You need to change out the output shaft and housing for 4x4 pieces. The housing is no problem but the shaft is pretty much the first part installed and the last piece removed from the transmission. I did that with a C4 before.
