Well it's finally in the truck...mounted and filled with fluids...
It is still noisy as hell even after filling the fluid back up...going back out in a short bit to fire her up and try once more to make sure it doesn't have more air in the lines.
Am so far tickled to death to have been in my truck, with the motor running and the wheel turning... :D Will let everyone know how it goes...and if the box is as good as it looked.

If it's whining, that is the pump, not the gearbox. The gearbox doesn't make noise.
Let us know how it goes!

Yep I know that, my concern is that I burnt the ps pump out, by driving it home from work on low fluid. The gearbox was leaking and bad (my old one) without any doubt, now we simply get to see if the P/S pump is also bad, due to my bad misuse, or not...

The PS pumps are pretty resilliant. You should be fine.. Have you driven it yet?

No, not yet. Long and short of it this weekend was hell on wheels at work, and I am literally physically wiped out. I did go out and help hubby crank the wheels back n forth to get the lines refilled, and it was a LOT quieter right before we stopped...turns fine enough as well, sitting still.
Tomorrow I have to go to the doctor...AGAIN...so hopefully she will be good as new gearbox wise, and the pump will be fine as well.
Will definitely keep you posted! So far, no leaks! WooHoo!
