The ones I cut out were like grade 10.9.. So just makin sure.
Ill be so Happy tomorrow If she starts up, Tomorrow all I have to do is put the Started Motor On, Plug everything in, Tune Up, & Turn the Key! :D (If everything goes right.)

you should take it out again. meby obama will get impeached :icon_rofl:

no such thing as grade 10.9

if you're looking at 10.9 printed in ink on the head of the bolt, that is metric grades, and they are not the same... there is no major stress on those bolts, so you don't even need a grade 8 bolt, but yes it will work...

fwiw, if you can, go with grade 8 bolts on everything, as you can't have "too strong" of a bolt

dude, when he takes the motor out, something bad happens, when he puts it in, something good happens... he needs to install an auxillary engine...

Oh Hmm.. The guy at Kragen said that was the grade... haha... I was like okay.. Get me those and he got me Grade 8's..

Yes you can.

Don't mistake hard for strong. For certain applications a softer bolt is better than a hard one. That is why they make different grades, not because some guys are tight and want cheap bolts but sometimes you need give.

For something that expands and contracts as much as an exhaust manifold it would be worth the time to look it up and see what it is supposed to be rather than assuming that a grade 8/10.9 is better than a grade 5/8.8... they are a mild PITA to change with the engine in the vehicle and doing it twice in rapid succession doesn't make it any funner.

^ What he said.
Ever try drilling out a grade 8 bolt?
