My 04 has the 2.3 4 cylinder. Around 2000 rpm this rattle happened in the dash at a constant speed. I found the little storage space under the radio makes that noise. In that space there is a little slot in the back bottom of it. I ripped a section of about 8 pages from some newspaper flyer and slipped it into this tiny gap in the plastic. No more vibrating noise.

My driveshaft is a little bent, so vibrations... yeah. I don't keep any change in the ashtray.

Mine does the same thing, but appears to be somewhat temperature related. Usually when it is below about 45-50 degrees. I was going to use double-sided foam tape. I may take it out and make something to install some amateur radio gear in that location.

Ive got the same problem as sunk. Stupid rock! It just jumped in the way. I also found a good solution for my dash board rattles, dont let myself take any of it apart. But ill have to wait till i get a new truck to try that idea.

my '88 used to do that sometimes, drove me nuts, id be banging the dash trying to find out what it was. i think it turned out to be the cb mount, and the passenger seat i swapped in wasnt quite bolted in right.

when i find a rattel I pry it back far enough to fill it with permitex wipe off the left over let it set till hard the rattle is gone i took out a dash board in a 78 cougar xr7 and lined it with permitex never ratteled
