rocker panels?

So my 97 has a caved in rocker. Any body got some good idea's for this? I was lookin at replacements but what about makeing some out of 1/8th angle or something like that?

cut them out and weld on some square tubing, doubles as rock sliders.

cut them out and weld on some square tubing, doubles as rock sliders.
they are just sheetmetal with nothing supporting them, i caved mine several times and just pulled them back out by hand.

then i got tired of it and cut the rockers off and built sliders.
