Hey folks, new Ranger owner here. I just picked up a '94 standard cab 4 cyl 5 speed base model truck for $400. It was work every penny of $300 :icon_twisted:

She's beat, dirty, been totaled, had bad tires on her, crappy rusted chrome wheels, nasty interior and best of all 221K miles. No power options, besides brakes, but hey it had a CD player in it! kinda...

Well, that's the bad. The good is it runs nearly perfect after a tune-up. Replaced all 8 plugs, wires, O2, oil pressure sensor, water temp sensor and switch.

I just picked up the Opal grey interior from a '93 XLT that was in the wrecking yard and a new 40 series flowmaster for $150ish (mine is already opal grey inside)

Put some new used tires on it and am pulling down between 20-25 mpg. I need to remove the silencer from the intake and change out the cat converter still.

I'll post up pics later :)

Welcome to the Station Decker! Sounds like a good little work/play truck. Glad to have you with us. So are there any plans for street or offroad, or are you leaving it stock?

Thinking about a 2-3" drop in the front and a expo axle in the back for a 4" drop, 3.55's, and disk brakes. I've also got some 17" chrome AR-86 American racing/Motegi Racing wheels off my old Accord that I'm thinking about putting on with some spacers.

I would put a long travel kit on it to play in the sand, but I need this thing to get gas milage and lifting does not equal gas mileage. And besides, I have a '96 bronco on 35's with a 6" superlift kit.

Pictures!

Sexy Ford Bumper :icon_rofl:

And here's the Bronco.

Ignore the massive toe-in on the passenger side :icon_idea: I bent the heck out of that tie-rod

Hi, FNG here

This is right before bending that tie-rod

Nope, not the wheel, I bent the tie-rod approx 90* Had to take the wheel off to put on the trail spare, which was pilfered off another truck :)
