Hello can any one help me out? I want to polish my exhaust port on my 2003 4.0l v6 ranger. is it worth the risk of doing it with out taking the heads off. because its really hard to take them off. also whats the best way to polish them? can you tell me step by step, what grit what brand ect.

If you google port and polish heads
you will find a lot of info on DIY porting.
Eastwood has a good video to watch.

It's best to take them off, you dont want metal shavings/dust to get into your motor, any job worth doing is worth doing well.......

Stuff a rag in there and vacuum after..... it's an exhaust port.
