Here's my recently acquired Ranger, it's an 86 XLT 2wd, 2.9L 5-speed, bodys in good condition, but most important, the 2,9 has no ticks lol. First things first I'm going to repair the drivers side floor so it's 100% safe, then the fun begins :) cherry bomy extreme is going on, radio/speakers, new intake, clear turn signals, h4 headlights, of course all this stuff I already have. Stay tuned for work progress pics :)

its a tad dirty from the mud/rain

wayyyyyy to quiet lol this is changing soon

need to patch there...

Nice!

I have to be honest though..I dont know about a cherry bomb on a 2.9. Go for something with more of a resonator or with more packing inside if you want a strait through. My muffler is a strait through but has more packing. Nice low rumble and does not get raspy at all. I can hear that 2.9 popping now with a Cherry Bomb.

The Dynomax Exhaust that they have for these trucks sounds really good btw if you can afford it!

I'm using a Cherry Bomb Extreme, it's not a glasspack/straight through muffler, it's the same thing as a flowmaster 10 series, a single chamber muffler with a single V shaped baffle. I already have the muffler and I love the popping sound when i downshift haha

undercoat the cab to prevent further rust, shackle flip, swap out factory speakers for my aftermarkets, get bucket seats, build subbox, tint, some kinda carpet/rubber for the floor, and buff the paint :) there's alot more things but i cant think of anymore at the moment

videos coming soon also from today :)

ok it's been awhile, and ALOT of stuff has been done to my truck :) My upcoming plans are a rough country 4 inch suspension lift, with 30/9.50's on it, now onto progress pics/videos, I must warn you though, I like to be different, and have a rather "different" interior, you'll see what I mean, I'll just say my lady helped :)

First stage was spraying the pieces that were white, purple :)

then a transformation from ugly fake woodgrain to something totally different and unique :)

spraying some clear over it so it doesn't peel, it's actually clipped magazine clippings mod-podged on

thats my username!!! :)

lil muddy, and whips installed

I garentee your dash isn't anything like mine :D

snagged my clear corners off the v8 ranger and some driving lights

some new tips

being bad in a field lol

cleaned up my chrome diff cover and as you can see the 3 inch blocks are in

Part1 of 2

Part 2 of 2

now it's really raked, but not quite the look I'm going for....

need bigger tires

my inspiration for lifting instead of lowering :) my friends 91 ranger, 6 inch skyjacker lift and 33's

being posers

working as many hours as i can at work to fix this height difference :)

washing my truck

got my rims/tires mounted, but only on back for now, front will wait till its lifted

fav pic

it's raked kinda like an old hot rod for now till i get the front lift brackets

i mounted my toolbox in the back because it won't fit in the front with the bedliner on, I kinda like it like that it's different and when its full ill have more traction lol

So, so far I've done:
dual exhaust w/ cherry bomb extreme
complete audio system including 2 12's w/ 1200 watt amp
buckets from a 97 ranger
funky interior
driving lights/ebay headlights/LMC clear turn signals
rear lift/tires
whips
toolbox
CAI
MSD coil
Bought a rollpan off a dakota from the junkyard, might cut it down and make it work :)
stay tuned for 4 inch rough country lift and some other odds and ends

My credo
Fortune Favors the Brave
looks great man, i loke the look of those rims on a black truck.
and i finally saw with good detail your dash work, it looks wicked. some blue/purple neons would make the interior look killer.

im not a big fan of the red stripe tho. looks way better all black imo.

keep the good work coming!

thanks man! Yea my fiancee did the dash, I wanted something different and she wanted to help and well, the rest is history :) I have some blue LED strips to put under the dash to add to the purple blue theme inside the truck. And the reason I did the red stripe was just to be different, so when I'm driving through town, friends wont mistake my truck for any other! :) And you know a real project is one thats never done :icon_hornsup:
