gen II, cobra 25 in ashtray hole

antenna came today so i am going to try install tomorrow-want to put cobra 25 in ashtray hole but it is too big right now,how much can that ashtray hole be opened up with out ruining dash supports?

so i mounted it on the roof of the ranger, but took it out before i sold her. not sure where ill put it in the b2

i dont smoke, so not much use of the ashtray for me. probably be putting the one in the explorer in the same spot.

I just got a cobra 29. The ash tray in my 91 must be alot smaller than your 94. There is no way this will fit there. It would be kinda nice though. How did you mount it? Just used the normal bracket?

REMOVE ASHTRAY,trim to fit then plumbers tape to hold it into place

i was thinking the same thing today, i took my 29 and sized it up against the ash tray with all the parts took out of it, and i dont see how it will fit at all

Should be the same size as the 94 dash. I just sold a guy a 94 dash and it fit perfectly in his 92.

I think the trimming may be the key. Plumbers tape is a great idea. I don't think of that. Hopefully tomorrow i will have time to give this a shot.
