I am in Iraq for another 2 months and for a welcome home present my wife said I can get the suspension for my truck along with wheels and tires. I have a 1999 Ranger Standard Cab 2wd. I am looking at suspension kits to for the front end. I am debating between Camburg'sPerformance 5.5" Kit or H&M Motorsport Performance 6" Kit. Camburg uses round tubing and bushings on their UCAs and H&M boxed heimed UCAS. which is stronger and better for a dd that sees occasional dirt and abuse? Camburg's kit also uses a limiting strap for downward travel. How does H&M limit theirs. I am planning 15x8 cragar wheels with 33x12.50 ATs. I am stuck in a rut between these 2 kits. Please help. any information is appreciated. Oh for the rear I am going to do and add a leaf or block until I get back to Vegas because I am stationed in Hawaii and shipping isn't cheap on deavers. I plan on doing gears and fiber glass front fenders down the line.

what about running with out the front sway bar recommended or not?

I've ran the burg 5.5 kit. It was fun for a while but it was never what I wanted.. For.the money you'll be happier with a BTF kit.. The other kits mentioned are all entry level kits..

the burg 5.5 kit is tried and true, many people have it and know how to make the most of what it is. if you have the time, go on dezertrangers.com and search for threads on the 5.5 kit, there are a lot of them. i'm not knocking the h&m kit, a good buddy of mine has their LT kit on his ranger, i'm just saying i would go for the camburg kit simply based on how many people know and have the kit to help you if needed.

You won't be sorry if you get the Camburg kit. Haven't ever seen the other one.

The question you have to ask yourself is what am I going to do with my truck? And.. do I want to buy a kit and toss another 600-1000 into upgrades. Or do you just want to buy start Kit from the start. If you get the 5.5 kit go with the steering upgrade also. I had 2.5" coil overs stuffed on my truck with the 5.5 kit. The truck came that way when I bought it. Someone hacked the coil buckets completely out to fit them. After some valving work I got the truck ride pretty decent..k

haha you know what i got when i got back? i got to go to college.... yay... haha
