hey guys...new to your thread..I have a 5.0 out of an '89 crown vic.that is going in an '89 ranger, does anyone make a harness that will plug and play or do i have to botch the donar cars wiring,and or can i use a mustang harness on it.

Look up Ford Racing or Painless wiring harnesses. They simplify things, but you'll pay for it.
You can use 5.0L harness as well.
I wouldn't even consider using the stock harness, but I guess it could be done with adding a bunch of pins and wires to the 60 pin computer harness, going through the wiring on the Ranger and 5.0L / changes, then plugging the 5.0L PCM into that.. Would be a nightmare.
It's wiring... Just as long as the connections get from point A to point B, it doesn't matter. I guess the question is, how convoluted you want your wiring setup to be vs. how much you expect to spend?
