I know it is possible to do my friend did it to his 86 Ranger.
Does it affect your engine in a bad way at all?
Im going to be swapping in a "New" 2.9 into my truck this weekend and if it doesnt have any negative effects I Might as well get one while im at PnP.
Thanks Ryan.

some people say your engine will "never get up to operating temp" but i call BS so i would do it if you need a radiator too, but i wouldnt spend money on it just because

i run a 4.0 radiator in my bronco with a 2.9 and it heats up just fine.
if your thermostat is working right it won't matter if your radiator is the size of a freight train, it'll still warm up just fine.
