axle code help

i have a 88 ext..cab rang w/ a 2.9 the raear axle reads sl 7375 that would mean 3.73 gears with a 7.5 ring gear right? the front reads 3.73 but why doesent the back say 3.73. any info on this. :temper:

It most likely does, the 3 is probably buried in dirt or is under the bolt head.

i took the tag off and cleaned it, i dont know if the factory messed up,the tag is not bent or nothing its perfect,

theres usually a big space between the 3 73. its possible it was flattened under the bolt head and thats why you dont see it.
