samsies, auto darkening is the only way to goI've got a Lincoln Viking auto darkening that I use at home. I like it for what I paid for it.
Arc one's Python and Carreras hoods are alright if you are not doing TIG, the arc sensors do not always recognize the high freakency arc so sometimes the filter won't flash. Also they use a curved outer Polycarb that are hard to find and are about twice as expensive then a standard flat Polycarb. I don't know about their other hoods though.
