BRake dash light on

JUst put 32s on my 99 b 4000 . Did 100 miles or so and now brake light on. Is this related to tires no abs
 
I mean its a non abs truck
 
Is your master cylinder full. Have someone push on the brakes when it is running and crack either one of the brake lines coming from the master cyl slowly unit the light goes out and tighten it before you let off of the pedal. It could be a leaky wheel cylinder or caliper so fix any leaks and then center the switch for the brake warning light. The two lines from the master go down to a block under the cab with a piston and a switch it tells you when either the front or rear brakes are losing pressure.
 
low Fluid or the e-brake switch is sticking. I've had to clean mine a few times with contact cleaner.
 
OK thanks. Ive only had it for a few weeks and pedal is really low. Feels like its just the rears working when stoping. I checked it all when I swapped tires and it looked good. Ill check level and switch again. Didnt see

any leaks.
 
Yeah, check your brakes over good. The brake light is actually designed to let you know when you need brakes. Assuming all new parts all around and the fluid level filled to the max line, your fluid level should drop low enough to set off the light right about the same time your fronts get low enough to not do their job.

Under statement for GM design. A Chevy Cavalier will conitune to wear the brake pad backing into the rotor before setting off any lights. To the point that there will be no rotor left except for the cooling fins.

Check the brake fluid. Check brake pads and shoes. Check the e-brake or parking brake. If the pedal feels mushy or can be pushed to the floor, bleed the brake system. If the brake system has never been bled in over 50k miles or 5 years, I suggest to bleed them. Check for leaks around the fittings. Check the brake lines for cracks or tears. If they look bad, crudy, or brittle, replace them and bleed the brake system.
